Taking Time to Focus

on February 8, 2012

I know that many of you have been waiting for an update on our fertility journey.  We have consulted with the doctor and are currently taking a break from treatments.  After lots of prayer it became clear that we need to be still and spend some time enjoying the blessings that we have.  This is no indication that we are giving up on a dream to grow our family.  We just need a break from driving long distances for medical appointments, hormone shots, tests, the constant questions and overall stress of the situation.  Simply put, we need to sit back, relax and enjoy life for a little bit.

Only God knows if this break will become permanent or if we will start back on the journey of treatments.  We are going to trust him completely with this.  What we do know….

God has some amazing things planned for the Wiggins family this year!  Bailey’s birthday is just around the corner.  It’s hard to believe he is almost six years old!  Josh and I will be running some races this year with a dear friend of ours.  We’ll be starting off with a half marathon in May and following up with a full marathon in October.  Wish us luck!  It’s not always easy to get the training in.  Our family will be traveling to Florida with Grammy and Papa again this summer.  Bailey is excited to visit Sea World this time!  We will also be spending some time camping this summer.  Personally,  I can hardly wait for the campfire and s’mores!

Prayers for our family to grow are still welcome and requested.  But for now, we are praying for God to give us a miracle much the same as He did when we received our little blessing, AKA Bailey.  Thank you all for your prayers and contniued support!  We love each of you!  Tonight we will leave you with some words of wisdom that God spoke to us while trying to conceive Bailey:

Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

It is time for us to focus on our family of three for a little while.
