Wewiggins’s Weblog

Just another WordPress.com weblog

on December 18, 2011

I usually know exactly what I want to say and how I plan to say it.  Not today.  I’ve actually put this blog update off for a few days.  So, I guess I’ll just get straight to it.  We have experienced another unsuccessful round of fertility treatments.  We had a feeling it would be bad news a few days before we knew for sure.  I had prayed that we would have good news to share with our family and friends for Christmas.  It just seemed like the perfect time being the birthday of the greatest baby in history and all.  It just wasn’t meant to be, this time anyhow.

We have an appointment with our doctor to discuss advancing our treatment to IVF.  The clinic is currently scheduling procedures into February and March.  This means that the process will be lengthy and updates on the blog may be short and infrequent.  I will do my best to let you know what is happening and where prayers are needed as often as possible.  There are a few areas that you can pray over now.  The first is for acceptance from family and friends on the decision Josh and I have made to advance our treatment.  Please, know that this decision was not made lightly.  We talked with professionals, eachother and friends that have experienced this treatment.  Most importantly, we prayed for wisdom and guidance from God.  After much time we came to the conclusion that advancing our treatment is what is best for our family.  The second area is patience.  As I previously said, it will be several months before the actual transfer takes place.  There will be many appointments and preparations for the procedure during that time.  However, I anticipate it to be hard to have patience through the process.

Thank you for all of the prayers you have sent out for us and keep them coming!  God Bless and Merry Christmas!

We love you guys!! Praying for peace in the waiting. The fact that you leaning on Him and seeking His will in your lives will lead to blessings, however that manifests!!
